JD Salinger's Legacy
I think that the possiblity of new unpublished manuiscrips that JD Salinger wrote would really impact the American literary society. His one and only novel that was published really affected peoples writing and what students are learning in schools. That novel was writted awhile ago and students are still learing about it n0w. It also changed how writers wrote back then. He used bad language and this offended a lot of people. But after he wrote The Catcher and the Rye, writers stepped out of the box and wrote out of the norm so that writers would totally change how they wrote. I think that it would be pretty cool to see how if they were to publish these new ones, how it would change how writers write. :)

ReplyDeletei think it'd be cool to read his unpublished works, but, it'd create megga contraversy
ReplyDeleteI'm interested to know if his writing style would be as innovative, new, popular, or controversial nowadays because of all the things we're exposed to anyways.
ReplyDeletefirst off, he wrote more than one novel. Secondly, writted is not a word. :) I think that regardless, it is difficult to argue that good or bad, a new work from him would definately impact the landscape of American literature. So i agree.
